You Beauty Advent Calendar

After all the hype last Christmas surrounding the beefed up calendars that house more than just a morsel of chocolate behind each window but something all the more indulgent  (for my palette anyway) MAKEUP! I had to get my hands on one myself.

I spent a while admiring the Ciaté calendar but had been waiting to hear what You Beauty had to offer as last year their calendar came up trumps in my books for it's variety in samples, makeup, hair, body, skincare, nails, you name it- it's got it.

Well, the minute I spotted it online it made it's way into my virtual basket and past check out faster than you can say ''Ho, Ho, Ho.''

It cost £50 and I think it is perhaps the best money I've spent in a while as it does offer so many good products and I'm really becoming a beauty junkie lately so I'm really excited for some new discoveries heading my way over the next month.

This calendar comes with a nifty catalogue to tell you a little something about each product and offers some cheeky discounts if you're seriously impressed with something you've discovered behind a door and want more.

A few things listed that have really wet my whistle from the pretty impressive list are;

Dr Lipp Lip Balm - Always been curious about this one and if it gets me soft, hydrated lips, I'm in.

Leighton Denny Nail Varnish in Vamp- Looks like my kind of colour, Essie Lady Godiva being my favourite and this looks like it's twin, let's see what the finish is like and if it's a chipper.

Therapie Roques O'Neil Himalayan Detox Salts - Heard so much about these but I don't bath often enough (I shower, I'm not just pure filth) to warrant a purchase.

Caudalie Limited Edition Hand & Nail Cream- Always on the look out for a good hand cream to keep 'em soft and supple. On the website it says ''These limited hand creams have been created in 3 fragrances; Blackcurrant Leaf, Grapevine Honey and Pink Grapefruit'' so it will be double the surprise when I stumble upon this window, I'm hoping for Blackcurrant Leaf...

Have you picked up a beauty advent calendar this year and swapping chocs for cosmetics this Christmas?

  1. I have a yankee candle advent calendar this year, I had the selfridges one last year and it was amazing - this one looks fantastic! x
